Communications and Outreach Tools

ACFN strives to provide all Americans with the opportunity to achieve a healthy balance in life. Working with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Maryland, the Baltimore International College of Culinary Arts, and the National Supermarkets Association, ACFN also held community events in Baltimore, MD, and Queens, NY. Based on those events, ACFN developed communication and outreach toolkits to help community leaders hold similar events in their area.

Community Connect Blueprints

ACFN’s Community Connect Blueprints, a project with the American Dietetic Association Foundation (ADAF), are comprehensive guides that focus specifically on African American and Hispanic American at-risk populations and the challenges they face.

These authoritative guides are based on national statistics and data on each ethnic group, and incorporate culturally relevant approaches for community leaders and organizations to build and expand programs to help families in their communities live healthier lifestyles.
